About Us
Dr. Trent Stewart
Lead Pastor, Foothills Church
Dr. Trenton J. Stewart is the lead pastor of Foothills Church in Maryville, TN. The church is the heart and vision of Pastor Trent who planted FC in 2009 with the support of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville and Pastor Trent’s father, Dr. Ron Stewart – the longtime lead pastor of GBC. Since 2009, Pastor Trent’s vision and hope for FC derives from a deep passion to develop mature disciples of Christ in relational environments. Through the ministry of Foothills Church, he and the FC staff have seen phenomenal growth and ministry take place in their city and even across the globe.
Pastor Trent and his wife Micah have been married for 20 years and have four children: Baylee, Bryson, Brooke, and Blakely.
Greg Gibson
Church Planting Leader
Greg is a husband, dad, and church planting leader. In 2016, Greg planted Veritas City Church in the Georgetown community of Washington, DC. Greg rejoined the Foothills Church team in 2020 and leads the multisite strategy. He is currently working alongside Pastor Trent to launch Foothills Church Bearden in the fall of 2021. Globally, Greg has co-founded and leads SALT Ukraine -- which exists to train pastors to plant churches to serve EurAsia and Central Asia, starting in Ukraine. To date, he has trained over 250+ pastors to plant churches globally.
Most importantly, he is married to Grace, and he is the proud father of Cora and Iver. They reside in East Tennessee. He is a future bison farmer.
