How do you finance a building campaign?
  • Look at your debt to income ratio.
  • You want to see giving increase and debt percentage to be below 35%.

  • A vision is an answer to a problem.

  • You must reach out to people to get an idea of space needed for your project.
  • When we planted in DC, there was another church that was a huge part of finding a building. (PG)

How do you speak to your church about building campaigns?
  • It comes down to relationships and faithful people giving.
  • We decided that we will teach people to be biblical stewards with their money.
  • We are not fundraising, we are casting vision to the people of the church to reach more people.
  • Our heart is in the gospel and helping people grow in their faith.
  • There will always be opposition.
  • As churches grow, the feel changes.
