What are our staff values at Foothills Church?
  1. None of us are as smart as all of us (collaboration).
  2. Do the right thing the right way (honor).
  3. Be proud of it or fix it (ownership).
  4. Play hard and work hard (fun).
  5. Never stop learning (development).
How is your team having fun?
  • We need to create avenues for our team to have fun.
  • We want to have fun in the right way at the right time.
  • Create a culture where we can enjoy ourselves.
  • There is no such thing as a balance between ministry and life.
  • You want to strive for rhythm in work/life balance.
What are some things we do to have fun?
  • Staff outings with intentionality built in.
  • We encourage people to have each other over to their homes.
  • Building in fun to meetings.
  • Learn to know your context and when to schedule staff outings.
Never stop learning
  • Nobody reaches spiritual maturity in this life. There is constant development.
  • Nurturing vitality in ourself?
  • The church does not need me, I need the church.
  • I don’t want to proclaim life in Jesus if I’m not experiencing that in myself.
  • Leaders are readers.
  • Health before growth. You wont sustain a healthy ministry if you aren’t healthy.
  • The best gift I can give to my church is a healthy me.
  • Keep your church simple.
